English Pronunciation Improvement Course: EPIC
About Our Program
The English Pronunciation Improvement Course, EPIC, is an online course designed for corporations in B.C., whose employees do not speak English as their first language.
Tracey Jalovec, registered speech-language pathologist, runs EPIC for small groups (maximum of six participants per group) and uses techniques to teach participants to pronounce sounds more like native Canadian English speakers, to use a more relaxed, open mouth posture when speaking, and to use a North American rhythm and intonation pattern.
EPIC aims to improve Canadian pronunciation, so an individual can:
Improve their ability to express themselves,
Prevent miscommunications,
Help others realize the value of their ideas or the depth of their knowledge,
Improve their speaking confidence.
Program Details
When:
EPIC runs throughout the year.
Each group runs for 11 weeks, which includes 10 weekly meetings for 1.5 hours and one private session for 30 minutes, mid-course.

EPIC is offered as an online program in a small group format
