Our Team
Eleven speech-language pathologists (SLPs) contract their services to Columbia, in addition to company founder Wendy Duke. All SLPs are registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC), and are members of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and Speech and Hearing BC (SHBC).

Karen says the highlight of her work is having the opportunity to work with amazing people, especially her clients and their families. She loves her hands-on work with language and linguistics. Karen supervises SLP practicum students from the University of B.C. most summers.
Karen works mostly in adult therapy (acquired brain injury rehabilitation) and also does medical-legal assessments. She has a particular interest in cognitive rehabilitation for the treatment of cognitive-language impairments in people with brain injury. Along with Kathy Yoshida, she has developed and runs the social communication group program for adults with brain injuries. Karen is also able to provide Hebrew or French speech therapy.
