Our Team
Eleven speech-language pathologists (SLPs) contract their services to Columbia, in addition to company founder Wendy Duke. All SLPs are registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC), and are members of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and Speech and Hearing BC (SHBC).
Jayme Carvey, M.Sc., RSLP – Consultant Speech-Language Pathologist
Areas of practice: acquired brain injury rehabilitation (children and adults), intensive adult stuttering treatment

Jayme believes the ability to communicate is integral to our ability to function in the world and to build and maintain relationships. She finds the challenge of helping people communicate fulfilling and describes her work as “the best job to have.” She says “providing support to people with communication impairments and seeing the impact it can have on their lives is pretty amazing.” Jayme’s duties at Columbia also include supervision of the clinical internships of University of British Columbia graduate students.
Jayme’s areas of practice include adult and children’s therapy in the area of acquired brain injury rehabilitation. She is also the lead therapist of our intensive clinic for adults who stutter.
Jayme sees clients in Vancouver and is available to travel to Burnaby, Surrey, Delta, Richmond, Aldergrove, and Abbotsford.
