Carlee Wilson

Areas of practice: adult brain injury rehabilitation, aphasia therapy, dementia, swallowing.

Carlee completed her doctorate in Rehabilitation Science and her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Alberta. This provided her experience in both clinical and academic settings. Carlee specializes in the assessment and treatment of people with aphasia (PWA) and other acquired language disorders. Her clinical work focuses on interventions to support language recovery and improve quality of life for adults with neurological communication impairments. Carlee is lead clinician for both the in-person and virtual Aphasia Conversation Groups that are funded for participants living in the Fraser Health Authority region. Her ongoing research as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at UBC centres on improving quality of life of people with aphasia through re-engagement in the community. Carlee’s work has been published and she presents at local, national and international conferences.
